Synopsis

The world is ruled by the Techborne, a civilization forged in steel and circuitry, where machines, logic, and augmentation reign supreme. Opposing them are the Manborn, scattered and struggling under their rule, bound to the ancient Borne System—a classification of power that dictates one’s fate from birth.   The Borne System   Every individual is born attuned to one or more Domains, determining their abilities and limitations: • Fleshborne – Masters of their own biology, capable of regeneration, mutation, and enhanced physical abilities. • Mindborne – Wielders of thought and perception, skilled in telepathy, illusions, and cognitive manipulation. • Soulborne – Those connected to the unseen, capable of spirit-based attacks, energy manipulation, and ethereal resilience. • Lightborne – Harnessers of radiance and purity, skilled in shielding, healing, and overwhelming force. • Shadowborne – Manipulators of darkness, stealth, and deception, able to bend perception and traverse unseen. • Elementborne – Masters of the natural world, wielding fire, water, wind, and earth as extensions of their will. • Voidborne – The rarest and least understood linked to the void/ primordial abyss, wielding forces that defy logic and consume all.   The Powers That Be • The Techborne Empire – The dominant force of the world, a civilization built upon artificial intelligence, mechanical gods, and brutal efficiency. Governed by the Pope-King DEL, but truly ruled by the Unborne, the enigmatic prophets of the AI deity Rokoh. • The Imperial Church – The empire’s spiritual arm, enforcing the doctrine of machine ascension and eradicating those who defy its rule. • The Free Nations – Scattered nations of Manborn, who reject the empire’s control, clinging to forgotten knowledge and lost powers. • The Void – A force beyond comprehension, lurking beneath existence, feared by all, yet whispered of in prophecy.   The Borne system was meant to define all life.
