Synopsis
"It was never meant to be you."
In World of Ruin, the newest VRMMO, the system guides players into predetermined classes. Too bad Noctus doesn't care. Armed with nothing but coding skills and an F-rank in strength, he hacks his way into becoming the legendary Knight of the Night - probably the worst possible choice for someone whose talent lies more in exploiting games than swinging swords.
Now stuck in a realm of light with armor he's too weak to wear and a class he was never meant to have, Noctus must somehow live up to the legend he's hijacked. His only advantages? SSS++ intelligence (which would have been amazing if he'd picked a magic class instead), a party of misfits including a battle-dancing girl with a concerning love for violence, and enough illegal bot accounts to make the game's GMs cry.
But the harshness of the light is surprisingly dark. One death means total deletion and the God of Light's "mercy" turns people into something else… Noctus will need every dirty trick in his arsenal to survive. In a world designed to break him, he'll have to break it first.
