Dietrich, a Squire, was about to be raised to Knighthood in the Order of the Sable Rose. Unfortunately, tragedy befalls the Order, and an attack leaves Dietrich as one of its only survivors. With little protection from the knights, Dietrich's town gets hit next, and he is helpless to do anything about it all. Being newly raised to Knighthood and as one of the last remaining knights of the Order, much of the guilt and blame falls upon his shoulders. He is exiled from the town, and in the harsh wilderness of the continent of Aqueron, he is slowly forged into a knight he would've used to look up to.  Knight of the Lost Order follows Dietrich on his adventures, both good and bad. Expect a slow progression of power, some darker themes, and a "dark fantasy" type of world. Whatever that means, lol. My main inspiration for this story are those dark fantasy slideshow tiktoks, The Wandering Inn, and all the other fictions I follow on Royal Road.
