Karpel; I just want you guys to know that Lives 1 and 2 are the setup for the story and the main character only shows real character growth in the 3rd, if you just walk in and plan to read the first two lives and expect him to have a goal immediately when he knows nothing about the world he lives in and is just trying to survive while living in an extremely cruel cultivation world as just a mob on the street with no talent, please read something else. There are no fast and immediate conclusions here. This story is planned to be at least 300 chapters and will more than likely be much longer. Spiritward has a goal, but it is only discovered and thought of half-way through life three and even then it's incomplete and misinformed. The world is complex and violent, Powerful cultivators can wave there hands and destroy cities, children grow at a rate much faster due to Qi, and at first Spiritward wont even have a chance to do that! As n example, Spiritward in his first life is slammed against a wall when he was two years old because a cultivator was angry at him for talking to his lofty self rudely. This story is about the true horrors of a cultivation world as if it were as described in the perspective of those lucky protagonists. The collateral damage is visible due to the fact that we view it, at first, in the point of view of one of those unlucky many with no talent. Through the story, Spiritward grows both as a person and a cultivator. His talent will increase every life and he will keep what he learned as well. Please do not stop in the middle and then give a bad review because of misconceptions that can be corrected by reading it fully.
