An old promise comes due, and Kathleen Dana O'Leary finds herself in danger of becoming a goblin's bride.  Ishmael the goblin finds himself betrothed to a human as a family obligation. The two consider their fates and what they want to do about the plans of their families. Kate is hopeful; Ishmael may be a goblin, but he's not a monster.
