Chapter 3 - Ternir Academy
I arrived at Elindor’s gates, it took couple of hours to get here. On my way I was inspecting my surroundings and saw many new thing, for example new animals. One of them was rabbit around 1 meter tall with huge claws and golden eyes, there were also some strange plants and big trees. When I arrived in Elindor, I saw people who were standing in line, guards were inspecting them near the gates.
I learned that to enter the city one must have an identification card. It was like plastic card that people used for transactions on earth, on it there were some stats of the user: name, age, race, and other stats.
To create an identification card one must pay 1 gold. I payed the price and then infused my mana in the card, of course I hid my abilities, if someone saw them I’m not sure what would happen. Just like that my card was ready. There was name, age and some average stats and level.
Then I walked through the entrance and entered the city, the wall around city was around 20 m high, inside there were stone houses, far away there were mansions and in the center stood a castle, in which resided the king of Estrar.
I entered inn near the entrance, there were some empty tables inside, I sat near the window and started looking on menu. Young girl appeared before me with a smile on her face and asked, “What would you like, sir?” I ordered red wine and something similar to stake, I must say it was tasty. Around 15 minutes later I paid 5 silver and left the inn.
When I was eating I heard some people talking about Ternir Academy. It was the best academy of Estrar, where geniuses from all over the kingdom studied. Mostly they were people from noble families, because studying in Ternir was very expensive for most of the commoners. Cost for one year was 25 gold. It must be understood 1 gold can feed normal commoners family for about two months, but everyone who graduated from Ternir were geniuses and had bright future.
And today was the day of entrance exams for those who wanted to join Ternir Academy. There wasn’t age limit, everyone who can successfully pass the exams can join academy, but one needed to have high abilities to pass exams.
“It will be fun” thought Kael and started walking towards Ternir Academy, it was located in the center of city, near the castle. Soon Kael arrived and saw crowd at the entrance of the academy, there were around 2 thousand people who wanted to join academy. Even some elves and dwarfs could be seen.
There were 5 females near the gates, who were inspecting identification cards. One needed to have at least one ability in 100’s to even take the test. I quickly showed my card to one of the females, she nodded and I entered academy. Inside there were some instructors who were supervising the exams. First exam was an affinity test, one needed to have affinity in minimum of two elements (Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Lightning, Light, Darkness).
We were separated in groups of 20, everyone who passed first test will instantly take second and lastly third, If one passed all three of them he/she would be accepted in the academy.
Around 15 minutes passed and It was my turn, from my group only 6 passed. There was one young man who had affinity in 4 elements, people like him are considered geniuses here.
I walked forward and stopped in front of an old man who was sitting in front of me, on a table there was white transparent ball size of a fist or slightly bigger. One must put his hand on it and infuse it with mana, then ball will light with the colors in which one has affinity.
I put my hand on the ball and started to infuse my mana into it, soon ball lit with red light, then blue, yellow, green, azure, white and black. It was shining like a rainbow with 7 colors in it. The old man in front of me was looking at me with dumbfounded face, not only the old man, everyone around me participants and instructors alike were looking at me with wide eyes. Some of them had their jaws dropped. “P-passed” said the old man, I retracted my hand and started walking in direction where second test will be held, looking at my leaving silhouette the old man still didn’t believed his eyes “What a monster, to have affinity in all elements, with potential like that, what heights will he reach?” he thought for himself and continued to test other participants, if the old man knew Kael’s true power he would have vomited blood.
Second test was a test of strength. Participants were sparring with instructors without magic, with only pure strength and then instructors decided if one will pass. Soon it was my time and when the battle started I dashed and appeared in front of the instructor who was around 40-45 years old, and punched him in stomach. He couldn’t even react and was sent flying 10 meters away, I was controlling my strength so he didn’t get hurt. When he stood up the instructor looked at me with wide eyes just like the old man, “passed” he said.
Third test was a test of magic. One needed to cast at least level 2 spell to pass, magic spells had 10 levels. There was some magic stronger than lvl 10 but it was mostly forbidden magic. I didn’t know any spells because I didn’t need them, I could cast spells instantly with a thought and my magic wasn’t bound with levels, because when I casted magic I just imagined it and with the help of mana I could easily cast it. I saw some girl cast lvl 4 magic ice spikes and from the ground appeared countless ice spikes, I memorized Incantations that the girl used and performed ice spikes, with this I passed third test. I could have casted it instantly with the help of my voiceless incantation but for now it will be good to keep it a secret.
Stolen story; please report.
With this I was now a student of Ternir Academy, I then payed 100 gold (in Ternir academy one needed to study 4 years to graduate, so 25x4=100 ^^) and after that I was escorted to a large hall, where those who passed the test were. They were waiting for an entrance ceremony. I saw an empty table left from me and sat there.
Suddenly girl walked to me and sat in front of me “Hello there, I’m Jane. I saw you at the affinity test, may I know your name?” she asked me with a smile on her face. Jane was tall around 180 cm high, with slim body and blonde hair, she had beautiful green eyes and was rather attractive with her figure.
“Hello Jane, my name is Kael” like this we started talking. I found out that Jane was part of a noble family in Ember, she was living near the Academy and her father and brother held high position in the kingdom. While we were talking I inspected her and I must say that her stats were good.

On top of it she was 21 years old, so I must say she has high stats. We talked about 20 minutes, the exams had already finished and it was time for entrance ceremony. On the platform appeared man who was around 35-40 years old, he had tall and slightly muscular body.
“I welcome everyone to the Ternir Academy, I am headmaster Kallan, here you will learn many new things, and I hope that everyone of you will have fun time in our academy, now everyone of you will get our academy’s card as the proof that you are students of Ternir.”
When he finished talking, instructors that were with him on platform started to give everyone cards, I too got one, there was Eagle engulfed in flames on it, it was the academy’s emblem.

Somewhere on the Continent of Elyndor
In a big room there was a table with 6 people sitting on it. “Yesterday something happened in the Zoir Forest. Big part of the forest is destroyed completely”, said one of the men while drinking wine, “Presence of Grum, Neil, Vlad, Elizabeth and Vanessa just disappeared. How can something like this happen?” woman who was sitting in front of the man spoke with a frown on her face. “Maybe they are dead?” said a young boy with a grin on his face, “there’s no one who can defeat them all together.” Replied the woman, “I don’t know what happened but one thing is for sure, they have all disappeared. How can something like this happen? But there’s something that I’m worried about, when I was inspecting Zoir Forest I found part of the body of Helmund one of the Archdemons who serve Vlad”, Said the man who spoke first and put his wine on the table. “It’s true that they disappeared just when that incident occurred in the Zoir forest. But the question is, why were all of them gathered in the Zoir forest? They must have been planning something and suddenly something happened that made all of them disappeared. There’s a high chance that they are all dead, but for now we need to find out just what happened and what caused their disappearance.” Said the man who was sitting on top of the table. All others nodded their heads and started to leave.
