Synopsis
Herodotus Hane is the new Chronicler of Disarea, a county within the Empire of Lyra. Twenty years ago the infamous Pelops wars ended, and since then, the Senate was reformed and the Justification Papers were introduced, creating a whole new wave of logic and moral based laws to come into effect. The power of Emperor Pelops, in his increased age, has diminished, and the Senate holds much of that newly opened power. Herodotus, having gotten a bit strong-armed into becoming a small county Chronicler, now has to chronicle the events of the county, and hopefully create interest in the city itself. That is, at least, what his employer Thomas Gil hopes for him to do. Friends and rivals will be there to get him the stories he needs, but with the ever-changing world will he be able to make the port city of Halia stand out?
