A young village boy who is living a peaceful life falls victim to a vampire attack. The cogwheels of fate turn, pushing him to a future he never wanted for himself, but must nevertheless accept. This is the story of his journey through the shadows. A world where magic reins supreme, and creatures of legend with unimaginable power exist.  Note: This is my first attempt at writing, and any criticism is welcome.
