A depressed scientist tests an experimental technology on herself that lets people relive their past with present knowledge, hoping to fix her traumas. The catch: when reaching the present day in the simulation, she must return to the sleeping pod to wake up. In her simulated life, she makes everything perfect but never joins the lab, so the project progresses slower than reality and the pod doesn't exist when she needs it. Her coworkers can only reset her simulation, and with each reset, her mental status deteriorates and she remembers her mission later, ending up in institutions or homeless, never able to join the lab and never able to return to reality
