Synopsis
Memories and words contain power. To know something's true name you contain power over this, as memories give you control of the individual. On the Island of Eveas lives a city of abundant residents basically aimlessly wondering about their lives almost in a constant state of amnesia, for there is a monster that lives among the residents, stealing and feeding on their memories. A boy of 15 years is one of the only ones that knows the truth. He left himself a recorded videotape to watch each morning. The monster has not taken the memory of the video, for it finds the boy's fruitless efforts amusing. The monster can only do things based on the core memories, and if something was written or made by an inhabitant of the island, it could be erased as the original memories that are taken while the others simply forget.
