Chapter 02: I saved a kid

As I was walking towards my castle and suddenly I heard a kid… a boy… screaming close to the castle "umm…?" My eyebrow raised "what a kid doing here? Wait… he is screaming" I looked through the trees trying to find the kid who was screaming and in the depth of the forest . A kid… a small boy wearing an old green shirt and green pants with no design, just a plain green shirt and pants. As I looked at the kid I noticed he was chased down by a monster… a winged monster. "The kid is in trouble, I should help him…" I then used my magic "tilemetaforá " and teleported in front of the monster "stop" I said it with a serious look on my face.

"Huh?" The monster said it with a deep voice and an angry face "who are you. Well it doesn't matter getting out of my way, that kid is my prey!"

I looked at the kid who was trembling in fear and had tears on his eyes "it's alright I am here you don't need to worry" I said it with a smile and gently patted him

"Huh! You dare to ignore me?" The monster became more furious and threw a punch towards me but I didn't react or tried to dodge it. I took the hit but I had no injury, rather the monster's hand got destroyed "w-what!!?" The monster backed away and regenerated his hand "who the hell are you!"

I looked at the monster "I should be asking that question. What are you doing in my forest?" I said it with a serious look and starts to walk towards him

The monster was trembling in fear for a second then shook his head "ha! You can't scare me! Go eat dirt" The monster casted a magic circle and a fire magic called 'fo' which is one of the strongest fire spells came towards me. The fireball was even bigger than me, a 6'0 feet tall guy but it was "weak fire." I said as I flicked my fingers which created create amount of shockwaves towards the fire ball and nullify it but the shockwaves didn't stopped and it hit the winged monster which instantly destroyed his whole body

I then looked at the kid but the kid while on ground tried to back off he was… probably terrified of me… I mean I did take out that weakling but it wasn't weakling for humans standards after all.

"P-please don't hurt me" the kid said with a trembling and scared voice still trying to get away from me crawling

I sighed and rubbed my eyes "I am not going to hurt you kid" I walked towards him and offered him a hand so I could help him get up. The kid accepted my offer and stood up by help

"So what are you doing alone in the woods, kid?" I said as check if he need any healing but it didn't looked like there was any injuries

"I-I am a bait for the monster so villagers can get away from that monster attack" the kid said it still with a trembling voice

"You are a bait?" (A bait in this world are called to a person who are used as a distraction for monsters attack and of course they are mostly orphan or old people) I looked at kid and felt pity for him… he was probably around 5-6 years old he's life must be rough "so… now then you are safe go to your village they would be happy to see you" I smiled friendly

"Will they…?" The kid looked sad as he told me that "I mean… probably grandma would be but…. Other just treat me like thrash" He said it with a faint smile

"... You poor soul" I mumbled to myself with a sad voice

The kid looked at me and bowed "thanks for helping me onii-san (meaning big brother in japanese) hope we meet again someday" The kid started to walk away

I looked at him as he was going away but for some reason I decided I will follow him I was just feeling too bad for him "aóratos" as I said that I became invisible and started to follow the kid making sure to not make any noises or anything which may him to know I was following him.

After a few hours of walking we finally reached his village… The villagers were celebrating, cheering and saying "we got rid of both that monster and as well as that pain in eyes kid!" Seeing this kid hide behind a tree and look at them and I just looked at them directly still being invisible "..." I felt more bad for him now but I didn't did anything yet and continued to observe the situation

The kid after solid ten seconds stopped hiding and started to walk towards the village and when villagers saw the kid… they didn't look happy but rather angry "what the hell are you doing here? Go away or the monster will come back!"

The kid get terrified and couldn't react or saying anything but just shiver in fear due to the people reaction and behavior

"Go away!" A man threw a rock towards him but I stepped in and caught the rock before it hit him "what the hell man!?" I said as I showed myself and became visible to people now

The kid's eyes widened as I appeared in front of him and grabbed the rock

The villagers didn't seem to care about me at first then their eyes widened as well "wh-wha? Are you fterotó téras' (name of the winged monster) disciple? Is he not enough for him? Please give us time w-we will give you more scarfition j-just don't kill us!"

I was surprised after hearing that they were not using him as bait but rather a scarfition? (Bait are people who are used as a distraction when a monster attack and they are usually saved by knights and other people of that status but scarfition are people are thrown out of village and offered to monster so they don't attack and protect the village)

"You people… are disgusting…" I mumbled to myself "I am not disciple of that moneter"

Everyone in the village calmed down and the chief of the village walked towards me and he was actually quite young for being chief of a village.

"What are you doing here? Get out of here and leave the kid, it's our village matter" after saying that he tried to push me away but he was too weak for it "w-what?" He walked away from "who the hell are you" after seeing him like that whole village looked at me with a scared looked

"I am guessing you are the strongest person here huh? Well jokes on you I am the strongest person in the world and I am the one who killed that monster and saved the kid!" I said it loudly and with a proud voice and expression

The villagers filled with fear after hearing that but then the chief started to laugh "h-haha! Nice jokes you punk I was just going easy on you I will show you my power!" He jumped towards me with a wide arm trying to grab my face but he was just too slow so I simply grabbed his hands and squeeze his hands softly which instantly broke his hand's bone and he started to cry due to pain and started begging for me leaving his hand

As the villagers saw this happening they again filled with fear but they couldn't say anything and just looked at this. After a few seconds I let go of his arm.

"Listen here you humans if anyone dares to put their hands on the kid or even think to hurt him I will kill each one of you slowly by torturing you to death!" I said it with an angry and terrifying expression and face and after seeing my face people just nodded while shivering in fear due to my face

Then suddenly the kid hugged me from behind and said "p-please don't hurt them"

as he said that I looked back at the kid with my normal smile and pat him on head "alright I won't… if you say"

After saying that I looked back at villagers "see! See! How nice is this kid! And you people treating him like this! Making him scarfition!" I yelled at them

After a few seconds after that an old lady came towards the kid but hid the kid behind me but the kid walked in front of me and walked towards the lady and they both hugged each other.

After seeing this my eyebrow raised as I clearly didn't expect this but I didn't say anything and just continued to look at them.

The old woman looked at villagers and yelled "I told you people to not send him! He was a kid! Gods will get angry! I told you all!" Then the old woman looked at me and bowed "I am sorry unknown god for trouble"

I smiled hearing that without realizing she called me god "that's alr-" I paused when I realized she called me god "wait wait I am not god" I said calmly with a nervous smile.

The old woman smiled and said "no need to hide it sir… I know who you are I was not exactly sure few minutes ago but when you said you killed fterotó téras then I became sure you are a god" as villagers hear that their eyes widened and they kneeled down in front of me and asking forgiveness

I didn't exactly know how to actually react and I just sighed softly and thought "I mean… it's nothing wrong even if they think I am god, is it?"

"Well no hiding then" I said it with an awkward smile "I am Andrew the uh- village protector god!" As I said everyone cheer and start saying "hail Andrew village protector god" it was quite hella embarrassing but I can handle that…

"Well then my lovely villagers this kid is actually my uh, my avatar so make sure to treat him nicely" I said it with a very charming look

As I said that everyone started to say "hail daniel!" Which I guessed was the kid's name…

"Daniel…" I mumbled to myself softly with a soft smile "well then I will take my leave but before that~" I raised my hands and said "nkolm" and as I said it two magic circle appeared and two golem made of a mysterious metal raised from ground

"They are A+ golem each which can together even take out thousands of fterotó téras which is a B+ monster" I said with a smile on my face "but it's main task will be to help Daniel so don't even try to hurt him when I am gone"

The villagers nodded and an old woman walked towards me and joined her hand together in front of me "as you wish My Lord! Hail Lord Andrew!"

Hearing that I scratched my head in embarrassment "I-I see well I will take my leave now my lovely followers villagers" I smiled gently

I then looked at Daniel "hope we meet again Daniel you are I nice kid…" I said it with a faint smile "tilemetaforá " and teleported from the village and again appeared in front of my castle again.

"Wait" I realized it was already sunset time . "shi-" I coughed " language Andrew language" I mumbled to myself "well… I guess I won't be able to give my application today…" I said as I walked inside my castle

"Um…" I reached my castle hall and looked around "it's too early to sleep… oh yeah! I will talk to myself in my self talking room! tilemetaforá " I teleported from the hall and appeared to myself-talking room which was actually a library

"Alright I am here" I said it with a faint smile and I slowly took my seat on my giant throne like a chair "um… klónos" as I said that a magic circle appeared in front of me and my clone sitting on same chair as me appeared out of the magic circle

"Hi there clone Andrew" I said it with a smile "Hi there real Andrew" clone said it with a smile as well

"So what do you want to talk about?" The clone said it with a smile "uh, basically I want to talk about should I join school or not…"

"I see" The clone continued to smile "so… any particular reason you want to join a school or?" Clone asked

"Uh, yes there actually… is…." I answered slowly and softly

"Oh? What is it?" The clone asked

"Uh, so well uh… basically I have never been to school and I have read many novels about schools so I am just interested!" I first started talking softly then I get louder and in last while saying I am just interested I literally yelled

The clone chuckled and said "I see… but it is the only reason?"

I looked down with a small blush on my face and said, "I also have one more reason…" I answered softly

"Oh? What is it?" The clone asked

"A-a girl… I met" I replied still looking down on ground and with my blush getting bigger

"Oh a girl? Want to tell me the story… or…?" The clone asked softly

"Uh, yes actually… so… the basically when I visited city a few days ago~"
