Christopher Mickibben is an Irish immigrant living in the Appalachian woods at the tail end of 1815. Living in the outskirts of the village of New Hope, his only goal in life is to protect his wife and children. But one day, Christopher begins to experience strange events in the town as something eldritch has come to the woods. Tension builds as Christopher sees strange sightings with no logical explanation. When mauled bodies start appearing, Christopher must put an end to the nightmare. Can he discover what horror hides behind the trees, or is Christopher next on the menu?
