August, a wealthy heir, finds himself reborn in a strange, futuristic world and medieval world after losing an inheritance battle. He wakes up as the illegitimate son of a high-ranking knight and quickly discovers that this world, the world of his favorite novel, is teetering on the edge of destruction. He gains a system named Ciel that seems to have glitched causing him to arrive four years earlier than the start of the novel. August must navigate this new world, while supporting and helping the main character from dying and causing the plot to derail. Will he actually save the world?
