Synopsis
Nobody knew it then, but our city used to have the 9th highest population in America. Rias, Utah, population of 85,000 as of 1862.
I’ll cut right to the chase. Nobody knows who or what started it, but a fire broke out in Rias on June 21st at 11:11 PM. After the fire, we were no longer the 9th most populated city in America. By some extraordinary stroke of terrible luck, 5,000 people died that night.
Five thousand, no more, no less. Five thousand people died.
I, Walter Liekki, have experienced something unspeakable.
And it began when I stepped onto that train.
