(General P.O.V)
It was a beautiful day at it's end. The sun was about to set over the horizon, sending rays of burnt red sunlight across the entire city.
The rays were reflected off the skyscrapers, compounding the beauty aspect and creating a lovely atmosphere.
People walked, played and sat on the benches in City Park, enjoying the peaceful evening.
But of course, in a city like Metropolis, it was a given that peace wouldn't last very long.
BOOOOMM!!!
Supergirl's body tore through a massive billboard advertising some inane product. Her body smashed through the trees on the park, digging a groove on the ground covered by soft grass.
Instantly, people started screaming in wild panic, running away from the area of the park that had suddenly turned detrimental to their health.
Sparks of blue electricity washed down the Kryptonian's fallen form, remnants of an attack. She growled, eyes lighting up scarlet as she got to her feet.
The target of her ire blasted apart the billboard, shredding the metal out of her way as she floated forward, unaided in her flight.
"Hahahaha what's wrong Supergirl? Can't take a little...lightning?"
Livewire gloated, looking down at the Kryptonian.
Supergirl's response was to send ocular beams of solar energy at her. Livewire widened her eyes.
"Shit."
The Supervillain clapped her hands together, producing a thick beam of lightning that collided with the laser vision.
There was an explosion of power, both attacks fluxxing in the air and producing tendrils of wild energy.
Bam!
Supergirl crashed into Livewire at subsonic speeds.
"What are you up to Livewire!? You don't normally stick around to fight."
She asked the Supervillainess, plunging both of them through a bus parked on the sidewalk.
People had already evacuated, everyone running for their lives, far away from the fight.
"Maybe I just decided payback was due."
Livewire responded with a nasty smile, releasing a wide burst of power that threw off Supergirl.
"After all, I have a bone to pick with you Kryptonians! You've messed with my Operations way too many times!!"
She stretched out her hands, sending forth another blast of lightning at the girl of steel.
Krakkooomm!
A few blocks away, Superboy blocked a punch by catching it with his open palm, negating the impact.
His attention was not in the fight he was having with another Supervillain, A muscular red skinned man with white cornrows called Brick.
Instead, his focus was on Supergirl and Livewire's battle. With his superhearing he could keep track of them and the destruction they were wreaking across the city.
"Don't ignore me boy!"
Brick yelled.
After failing to remove his fist from Superboy's grip, he sent a highly telegraphed left hook flying forward.
Superboy casually grabbed the hand, lifted Brick over his shoulder and promptly smacked him onto the ground behind him.
The ground cracked, and Brick was left there groaning in pain.
"Stay here. Try to escape and I'll come after you."
Superboy warned, turning to leave. He knew the cops were about to arrive, giving Brick no chance to flee.
The half Kryptonian/half human ran forward, taking a leap and soaring through the air, thoughts swirling in his brain.
Something about the attack bothered him.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
It was too coordinated for starters. It wasn't strange seeing two villains, especially Superman's working together.
But they usually had a motive behind the team up.
However, this time Livewire and Brick didn't try to rob a bank or a jewelry store.
They just attacked him and Supergirl while the two were on patrol.
And that bothered Superboy more than he cared to admit. It stunk of a scheme.
Especially given Superman's recent absence.
The Man of Steel was still out there, saving the world where he was needed. But he'd left Metropolis in Connor and Kara's hands.
'Something's up.'
Superboy thought to himself, jumping off a roof and sailing towards the battle.
Unbeknownst to the half Kryptonian, the spot where he'd left Brick...was empty.
The supervillain had escaped or rather, he'd been rescued.
All that was left behind were wisps of smoke.
(Holl's P.O.V)
Boom!!
Krakoooom!!
What's all that commotion? Did I fall asleep and we ended up getting caught in a storm?
Ugh, the old man will be so annoyed.
Crash!
Okay, that's not a sound a boat should make. We might really be in trouble.
I slowly came to groggily. My mind felt fuzzy and thinking straight was a task in and of itself.
"Fuck...this. Agh..."
I groaned, biting my lip hard enough to taste blood, giving me some clarity.
I placed my hands under my body and tried to get up from my bed, just as another tremor rocked the boa-
Huh?
The flat and somewhat hard surface I was lying on trembled, almost throwing me off it and onto the ground.
Dust rained down from the ceiling, getting into my eyes.
Jesus! Fuck that's annoying.
And this is clearly not The Encanto. The Encanto didn't have a concrete floor. Nor did it have cell bars.
My father named our sail boat The Encanto for good blessings from the Ocean Gods. It was a stupid name. The Ocean Gods cared not for sentiments. I prayed to them but they were assholes.
Another loud crash, this one terribly near, brought my attention back to what was happening.
And with that, a rush of memories poured into mind. I remembered everything. 3 days ago, I'd found myself in the DC Universe. And things hadn't been easy from then. Fun yes, easy? Nooo.
I'd stabbed Batgirl before she could bring me in for stealing, met Superman and Batman, escaped them, gone up against Croc, made him a pet, killed him though I was injured in the process and lastly made my way to Metropolis.
All in the space of 3 fucking days. Some MC's stayed months or years in DC without going through the shit I had.
Once in the City of Tomorrow, I'd decided to use the police station as a resting point due to my grave injuries. Even standing up had been an issue. I was pretty banged up.
Speaking of,
I rolled my shoulder, there was still some stiffness there but at least it wasn't painful.
As for the rest of my body, I was missing a large chunk of my ear,( the cops hadn't noticed it due to my long ass hair) but thankfully it had stopped bleeding. I might have to get it checked out though.
Fuck Killer Croc. That bastard.
He must be dead by now but I was slightly regretful that I didn't do it with my two hands.
My limbs felt weak though.
The stunt I had pulled to enhance my physical parameters had used my protein reserves as fuel, so I was even thinner than before.
Fuck this. I wasn't back to a 100%. My body still needed sleep.
I was supposed to be getting some rest in preparation for beginning my plans for world domination afterall...
So, who. The. Fuck. Thought it was a good idea to wake me Up!!?
Now in a terribly terrible mood, I got up ready to rip apart whoever was making all that commotion and noise.
"Finally up, huh?"
A voice reached my ears.
I looked around the dim cell, eventually spotting a masked figure seated on the floor near the entrance to the cell.
He was cloaked in shadows, his features hidden behind a red mask. The sense I got from him...was danger. Especially with the handle of a blade peeking from his shoulder.
"Who the fuck are you?"
I questioned, noticing that the cell was open, the bars slashed apart by some sort of sharp weapon.
I was willing to bet it was the same weapon strapped to his back.
It was also deathly silent in the station. The cell I was in was the furthest from the main lobby and the front desk area, but it wasn't far away that I couldn't hear anything.
Even the cells to my left were deathly quiet. Like a graveyard.
What was going on?
The Black cop had separated me from the rest. I suspect the long hair made them suspect I was some sort of metahuman.
Speaking of long hair...it was still there, hanging behind me like a thick coat slung over my head. I flexed, and strangely I could control the strands as easily as breathing.
I checked my neck, there was no pet pet collar.
How strange.
Was this an effect of the pet pet fruit? I needed more information but if it was, then it meant this fruit that many others would have thought useless, was actually more powerful than it seemed.
"Good."
The figure said, jumping to his feet.
"We can go now."
Only then did I get a full look at him. His mask wasn't red like I'd initially thought.
Instead, it was orange and black, both colors separated right at the middle of the mask, from head to chin. The mask concealed one eye while leaving the other piercing and vigilant.
The color scheme was shared across his full costume: a body armor, one that seamlessly blended lightweight yet impenetrable materials.
It consisted of a series of metallic plates adorning his chest and arms, not merely for aesthetic appeal but for defense.
It also hugged his frame with a precision that spoke of meticulous craftsmanship.
And turns out the sword peeking from his shoulder had a partner. But that was far from the only arsenal he carried.
The grip of what looked like a high-caliber pistol, was holstered on his thigh.
I want something like that. Holy shit that looks cool. Yes, I liked guns, who doesn't?
It was clear this guy was a consumate killer. A professional of the highest order. A very useful individual. More resourceful than Killer croc I bet.
"The name's not important."
He told me while I studied him.
"What is, is that I'm here to burst you out."
His voice was deep and powerful. Confident.
Burst me out? Oh really? How convinient for me. Seems like the Ocean Gods are still on my side. I wonder how long that was going to last.
Maybe I should sacrifice something to them soon.
I sat back on the bench, crossing my feet and folding my hands on my chest.
Truth be told, I could have escaped by myself anytime I wanted, right after gutting the blonde cop of course. Buuuut...this smells like an adventure.
I wonder who sent him to break me out. Well...there was a way to find out.
My eyes lit up in glee and anticipation.
"I beg to differ. The name is veeery important, Deathstroke the Terminator."
He didn't look surprised that I knew who he was. Although his shoulders tensed a little.
Hidden behind my right hand, the left one started glowing green.
