Synopsis
The Empire of Boset has risen from a small confederacy of villages bordering the Sea of Storms to one of the largest empires ever on the face of Charia. It has expanded to encompass millions of souls and control a third of Anoth. The hunger for new goods and glory has resulted in near-constant expansion and war for over five centuries.
The Baccus family has been at the heart of almost every major campaign in Imperial history. Their holdings have grown from a small estate on the bank of the river Sticks to become one of the principal arms and armour producers on the continent of Anoth. As one of the Ten Founding Houses of the Empire, they have reaped the rewards but also paid a bloody price. Three members of the Baccus family are all that is left of the once mighty house.
The empire, which had dominated countless tribes and countries, was now under assault from both within and without. The Imperial Senate has demanded that the emperor launch another series of attacks that will stretch the Imperial forces past their breaking point. At the same time, raids by ancient enemies thought long defeated have once again begun along the coastlines of the Storm Sea. The emperor has charged the Baccus family with bringing the Stormlands back under imperial control.
Gods and Goddesses thought long gone have begun to emerge from their slumber. The Age of Empires is ending, and the Age of Blood returns.
