And as any mature adult would do, she... gets dressed up and sneaks into an event that she only knows to be a "hoity-toity rich people's party."  Bad decisions aside, she ends up meeting a man about whom she knows almost nothing. All she knows is that he's willing to pay her to pretend to be his fiancee. Her desperation has not reached such lows, but when both of them are put in situations that they can't easily solve, a deal is made, with at least one thing completely clear between the both of them: "We are NOT in a relationship." Disregarding love, fate, respect, or any sort of scruples has led them to the impasse stopping them now, but difficult situations have ways of testing people, and both their characters will develop in ways they never expected.
