The day after Argan was diagnosed with blindness, he left the infirmary. But not without an escort. The nurse who took care of him held his arm and led him the way towards his 'house'. As Argan walked he was met with a multitude of gazes. Some pity, some sadness, but most of all, mockery.
"This idiot of a person overstepped his boundaries. Doesn't know whats best for him." One teen said.
"He should have stayed unable to cultivate. At least he could have done something for the clan then. Now, he's absolutely useless." Another remarked.
Although Argan could not see, he could still see. But he paid no attention to the comments. He was too focused on how he could train to the 6th level. Soon, they made it to his house, or at least what was left of it.
As the nurse saw this, she was shocked and let out a gasp.
"Pay no mind to it. It doesn't affect me." Argan said, as if reading her mind. He slowly stumbled his way over to the rubble and made a clearing. "Thank you" He said to the nurse and sat down.
The nurse looked dejeected and wanted to say something, but eventually left. After she was gone, Argan cleared his mind and focused on his internal body. Although he could not see the outside world, he could see the inside of him perfectly. He felt a passion, one he's never felt before. Not for revenge, but for strength.
'Truly, there is nothing if not strength. Without strength, then I will be nothing.' As he thought this, he felt his mind become more clear. He felt more at ease with the situation. Then, his mind was fully cleared, as he focused on cultivation.
----------------------------------------
Hours passed, as Argan sat there, cultivating. But he was getting frustrated. He did all that he knew, but was making very little progress.
'I need to calm down. Frustration will only make it worse.' He pondered. 'But, I wonder, why is it taking so long? Bah, what ever. I'll just let my mind wander. Maybe then i'll come to a solution.' And so he did. He recalled the events of the fight, the humiliation from Jackson, the anger he felt. He recalled the false attitude of Elder Baine and his hidden intents. Argan usually didn't let himself think about these things, as he believed they would irritate him and ruin his calm mood, but he was more calm than ever.
Soon, Argan subconciously started moving according to the movements of the figure from his mind, that displayed the movements of 'Peerless Fist of Speed.' At first, the movements were slow, almost reaching a snails pace, but sped up at an exponential rate. He was soon moving a pace where the wind would whistle after his movements.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
This continued on, until a layer of slightly toxic substance oozed from his pores. Argan didn't notice this though, and continued with his movements. After about 3 hours, Argan was moving at a speed where he was just a blur to the average humans eye. He moved faster and faster, and as he continued, there was a cold, but comfortable energy moving about his body, and his skin turned clearer, but the subtance on his body made this hard to notice.
Soon, after about a total of 5 hours of practicing, Argan began to slow down, and then eventually stopped. Although he couldn't see, he felt the substance on his skin, and felt a little disgusted. But then he realized.
"6th level of body tempering! Perfect!" Argan jumped for joy. He was excited at the fact that he reached the 6th level and even more excited that he could finally start training his senses
'How should i got about training my other senses?' He thought. He sat there for a while until he came up with a clumsy but possible solution. Running.
Argan stretched his muscles and felt around himself. Then he took a running position. He then started to sprint off into the distance, or so he thought. As soon as he took off, he ran straight into a tree. He fell down, not knowing what he had run into it. As he stood back up he rubbed his forehead.
Right as he did this, there was a quiet giggle nearby.
"Who's there?" Argan excalimed. Then there was a light thump as Argan heard someone lading on the ground.
"Ah, you figured me out. What were you doing running into that tree like that?" A sweet voice resounded, belonging to a young girls. Argan turned to where the voice came from, and replied.
"Im training my other senses of course. Now, could you please leave? You're distracting me." He asked impatiently.
"Ah! You're Argan Gray! The one who went blind in the duel!" The girl said, ignoring Argan. Argan felt frustrated at this. He just made a breakthrough and he was in a good mood, but it had been ruined by this girl. He frowned and started to walk away, but it wasn't long before he ran into something again. He stumbled back, once again rubbing his forehead.
The girl giggled again, and said, "You won't make much progress like that you know. Maybe you should go to the training area. There are dummies that attack so you can train!" Argans eyes lit up as he thought of this.
But soon, he frowned. "Are you trying to insult me?" He asked, his recovered good mood vanishing instantly.
The girl blushed as she shook her head. "Thats not what i meant! Here, to pay you back i'll take you there!" She took Argans hand and pulled him along before Argan could even reply. He frowned at this and was about to struggle, but then heard the Figure in his mind speak.
'Let her take you. This is better than running into trees. after all.' Argan let go of his thoughts of struggle, and reluctantly let the girl pull him along.
After a short while, they exited the forest. "I never asked you for your name." Argan spoke up.
The girl kept pulling him along as she replied, "Weylin. Weylin Lin. I don't mean to boast or anything, but my grandfather is the 1st Elder in the Head Branch of the Patron Manor!" She said smugly, and with a hint of arrogance.
Argan was about to ask what this meant but was interuppted.
"Ah! Here we are. The Sense Training Camp. This should be enough repayment. Well, i'll be off now." Weylin said. Argan was still confused about the whole situation, but before he could ask any questions, he heard Weylin running off.
'Whatever. Lets get to training.' He thought to himself. He felt around the area, and found the entrance to the camp.
