Anthou and Minoru awaken alongside thousands of other students on Pegasus Island, an artificial structure ruled by the enigmatic Lottie. There, they learn they have been erased from the world to participate in a deadly exam. Granted powers known as Gifts, the students are forced to face each other, knowing that only half will advance, and only one will earn the wish to secure their freedom before uncovering the real truth behind their abduction.
