19 - First Armor Item

Lunetta now sat there, on a bit of grey stone surrounded by trees and little squirrels peeking a bit at her, it was quite cute, she had pet some of them before, but eventually had to go back to what she was doing.

Mana: 670/312

Her mana was starting to become a bit too little. She had begun to collect the ingredients for the storm aux thingy, all the while injecting storm affinity into a bottle she had gotten from the academy, she had just got a bulk of them, she hoped to make or get a reliable source of them in the future. Once she had injected almost half her mana into it, she had stopped, then repeated this.

She needed around 2000 mana forced into the little bottle, then she'd have to get water, and a catalyst. The last bit was quite easy, silver worked as a great catalyst and there were literal fucktons of it going around. It was even made into old world currency because it was so cheap. There were other catalysts as well, but efficiency mattered quite a bit, at least for a timescale, silver was the best, followed by salt, gold and other exotic materials. Storm Metal was essentially a kind of thing a storm based profession would sell themselves out for.

Salt was even cheaper than silver, so she went with that, it doesn't really harm the end product in any way really, it was mostly based around the intensity of the reaction, so you can hypothetically make legendary auxiliaries by throwing enough shit at a wall. After combining the salt the mana, she added some water creating a kind of salt water. By forcing storm affinity into it, it made the water a bit restless.

Next was the spark, so she just shoved a single mana point of unattuned Mana into it. The reaction caused a bit of bubbling, she should probably get a cauldron or something to contain it, but she was strong enough. So she pushed mana into the bottle in the most crude way to keep it from exploding. Soon the reaction was done and upon opening the top a gas, mostly salt and water steamed out.

The products of the reaction was the storm water essence she was holding right now, and salt plus water in the form of a gas, all the salt leaving in that way, and only a tiny bit of water. It was convenient so you didn't have to separate anything.

Lesser Storm Essence Water[G]: Storm Water made by Lunetta, salt was used as the catalyst and due to the sheer amount of Mana induced in the most pathetic way, has created a salvageable product. Well done.

'Fuck you' she thought. She had pored a lot of Mana into it. Crafting materials were a bit different than normal materials, because they vary so wildly they normally needed a grade or something of the sort, also all crafting materials made from one person would technically be "mythic" since nobody else could make them exactly the same. Lesser was just a guideline on the power, G was used to grade it according to the grade it would fit the most.

She had refined all the fibers and eventually got a fiber connect skill, she had connected all the refined tree fibers in order to get a nice long piece of string, she had then rolled it around a roller, she had made herself using precision cuts on some of the leftover wood.

Eventually after soaking for quite a bit the fibers started getting stronger, soon they had drank up all they could so she used [Novice Refine Fiber] once more forcing the storm affinity power to make the threads tougher and more malleable once more she wanted to push all the potential into that, she also pushed towards protection, allowing the fibers to naturally create a thin film when injected with Mana.

She stored the rest of the Storm Essence water and began to refine the cloth using the string. It was easier said than done because of her crappy skill. It took her all day to get a nice roll of cloth ready.

Bundle of Cloth[G]: A bundle of strong bendable cloth that's quite tough. Created by an artisan.

At least it didn't personally insult her anymore, She went through the process of trimming over extensions and getting a nice even cut on everything, adding in one of those rollers it looked quite professional, if she sold it at the academy she'd make around 10 gold for it. It's a bit insane, but good materials are hard to find in new worlds. Besides everyone wanted to enchant or pick up side professions to get more out of their main one.

Then she began, she used around half the cloth roll by cutting it off then starting to use her [Novice Moon Tailoring] soon it came together, she had saved some of her fiber to create a bit of string, and she had done that separately to get more durability. What protection would a bit of string provide?

She had no needle, so it was quite complicated getting the holes in place, she had thrown a few temper tantrums trying to gently pry open holes and failing, she finally realized that adding some unattuned Mana made things a bit harder and tougher, the tougher aspect wasn't what was important at the moment, when something was hard it kept an edge better, but it could also be dulled, so she set forward by stitching with her Mana, this is where earth affinity would come in handy.

Or rather any kind of hard affinity, naturally hard, not condensed water hard, that would require even more Mana. Soon she had stitched a simple t-shirt, she had even made looser areas for her breasts so it didn't feel like she was getting constantly squeezed. After doing quick off cuts, and finalizations she did a once over to make sure it was perfect, finding somewhere where she could improve a bit she added some cloth and some of her storm essence water, although the fibers were saturated, if you complete a craft it would consume auxiliaries to the point of saturation for the item.

So like this she made her first t-shirt.

Shirt[Common]: A simple yet sturdy t-shirt made by an amateur. Level 15 requirement.

Grants 5 Endurance.

She took her old shirt off and put the new one on. She'd need an enchanter for everything else, but she guessed that if she manipulated the fibers right the first time that they could inherit some properties like self repair. She'd need stronger essences though. Storm Essence was more focused on creating things with explosive power or something in that vein. She had made something more passive, but there was also a passive part of the storm so nothing was really wasted.

Moon affinity was a rather gentler kind of affinity, and using it would likely net her the self repair and more malleability that she needed. Though she'd likely need to over saturate the fibers for a few decades to get them to that point, her stuff was just too weak at this stage, she was too weak. At least it was quite comfortable and granted her some endurance.

That also relieved another fact, she could wear as much shit as she could fit or carry on her. Did this mean her dream of wearing fifty shirts for armor could come true? No, that's a bit too unreasonable, her current getup was quite fashionable and comfortable. She moved to see her reflection in a nearby pond. Black hair with brownish eyes stared back at her. Her hair was starting to get a bit of a Moon like shine.

Her clothes were quite snug, and she felt a bit of pride since her shirt didn't look half bad, it was brown, but it was stylish under her leather vest, her pants also the same color. She would get earrings later, especially ones that gave some stats, you can never have too much equipment. She smiled at the thought of her in a battle skirt with fifty t-shirts on. Ah the joy.

Her final bit of preparation was focused on her rain affinity, she wanted more raw power, and she thought of how torrents of rain can power through seemingly everything, she wanted to become like that, invincible as the storm. Though she will likely get beaten by some pesky sun guy so she stifled her hopes a little.

She'll cross the bridge with the sun guy when it came to it. On another note, the bunny was quite happy with the shirt, it was once again tightly snuggled against her chest, out of harms way and out of sight. A perfect trap that lay in waiting, if it wasn't so fucking lazy.

She stood up and prepared herself for finding the truth in water droplets that magically fall from the sky.
