Fortune teller for hire Eve Diletta has never been particularly fond of humans. Trapped in a cursed body, she feels a constant stream of emotions from everyone around her, an ability that is more a burden than it is a gift. She’s even more tired of dealing with the creatures -  beings from the mythic dimension that sneak past The Divide and into the world of the living.   Not that she has any choice, if she wants to keep them from getting any stronger.  Either way, when she nearly runs a stranger over with her car, she’s disinclined to trust him. But when he touches her the world fades away, leaving her with rare and blessed silence. Too bad he’s also being hunted - hunted by something that recognizes Eve for what she really is. The Elder Gods have never been particularly merciful. They’ve killed her once, and they’d do it again.
