In an effort to fight back and stand their ground against their supernatural and non-human attackers, humanity develoiped a method of creating super soldiers that, in exchange for their emotions, gained immense power. Known as Husks due to their lack of emotion, they have now become reviled in the very same communities they fought so hard to protect. In this brief excerpt, A Husk, who goes by the codename 66 (Double Six) partakes in an extraction mission. *This was written fairly quickly, and was submitted to be part of a certain anthology.
