It was in the middle of the 22nd century when humanity as a whole was driven into a corner. Climate change and wars had transformed the once blue earth bursting of life into a hellish landscape of lifeless rock and metal. The air, water and soil irradiated by countless atomic warhead detonations which made living on the surface for any human, or any other living being for that matter, impossible. In a final act of self preservation humanity started to build large underground bunkers. The hope lied in a recent technologic breakthrough on cryonic sleep allowing humans to survive far beyond their mortal life expectancy by artificial hibernation. The project was called "The great sleep" and resulted in millions of people being put into cryo sleep inside the bunker facilities in a desperate hope that they might survive to see a green lively earth again. Now that millions of years have passed the remnants of humanity of the past awaken once again to a world no longer their own and far more alien than they expected as earth is inhabited with several intelligent species, magic is real and monsters from fairy tales roam the wilderness.
