It is many thousands of years prior to modern humanity’s ascension. Earth is instead still evolving, and changing with new species supplanting the ones that came before. Humanity itself is not one at this point, it is divided and scattered. One notable variant of humanity that existed alongside us was the Neanderthal. This story inspired partially by Alien, takes that story and puts the Human in place of the Xenomorph. What would happen if Grey Aliens kidnapped one solitary human and he got free?
