Synopsis

[CONFIDENTIAL] The following files are the CONFIDENTIAL reports gathered in regards to College students Emma [REDACTED] and Blaine [REDACTED], and their relation to the “Maggot Man”. Both young adults came of interest to the Bureau after the discovery of the mangled body of [REDACTED]. Their continued research into the unnatural and unsettling death of their classmate, as well as their involvement in the events in the hometown of prolific serial killer, “Maggot Man” Jake Grantham, has been collected into one location for the use of pertinent investigators.  If you are not a party designated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Paranormal Research Facility, be aware that you are in possession of highly sensitive material of a highly graphic nature. "House of Flies" is an Epistolary Horror novel told in the form of transcripts, emails, text messages, and excerpts. It tracks the events of two young college students as they try to unravel the increasingly insane mystery surrounding the infamous serial killer, Jake "Maggot Man" Grantham.  As an entrant in the Writathon, the story is being written almost entirely off the cuff in its first iteration, with very little to no planning. Once Writathon is complete and the story is finished, I'll go back and re-edit it once more and clean up some of the style, as well. What to expect: 1. Heavy depictions of death, gore, and violence. 2. Insinuated violence against children. 3. Serial Killers. 4. Tragic tales of abuse. 5. Supernatural themes.  6. Profanity. 7. Flies.
