After the death of a ruthless and greedy duke, the ruler of the fictional kingdom of Dorallan creates a contest in order to choose a new duke, saying that whoever demonstrated a true proof of honor would be granted dukedom. The two brothers from the house of Pearata, Lucius and Primus, are tasked by their father to take the prize and make their family worthy of the position. This plan, however, is interrupted when Lucius falls in love with a nun.
