Synopsis
The world is at peace; civilization is at its zenith. In the warlike empire of Arrkad'vla, the emperor still leads his armies peacefully. Amidst this strange oxymoron of a peaceful time and a warlike empire, a young man from the countryside sets out to fulfill his own ambition of becoming the next emperor. The world through his eyes is a beautiful one, and he has some new ideas of how to add his own colors to the world and the empire. But during a time when the old is already considered gold, a time when even the warlike reap the harvest of peace, will change be accepted? Is change even needed? Can change not be stopped? In the course of his journey, the boy is forced to understand these questions and come up with his own answers. What can he come up with to meet the plea of overpowering the flow of time and the hammer of consequences?
During the first few months, new chapters will be uploaded every Friday. It will take time to think about where to put other things, such as maps, images and information that would not fit within the narrative (things like languages used within the world and timekeeping conventions). As I figure out these things and implement them, the story should shift into a bi-weekly schedule. Although, I actually may post another chapter within a week early on, seeing that this story is quite new!
