Synopsis
A giant, cube-shaped object appeared suddenly and without warning above the high-rise buildings of New York City. Pedestrians, businessmen, and ordinary people alike stopped in their tracks, captivated by its majestic yet foreboding presence. Some wondered if this was the long-awaited sign of extraterrestrial life visiting Earth for the first time, or if it marked the unexpected arrival of the Day of Reckoning.
But what came next caught everyone off guard. The mysterious cube began to break apart, shattering into smaller pieces of the same shape. These fragments rained down across New York City. Some landed directly in people’s hands, while others smashed through skyscraper windows, scattering onto office floors, seemingly unnoticed by those inside.
As people cautiously picked up the fallen pieces, something even stranger happened. The smaller cubes transformed into gauntlets, covering the arms of those who touched them. Almost immediately, a system was activated, displaying detailed information about the person now wearing the gauntlet—the user of the strange object.
Questions flooded the minds of those affected: What was the purpose of the cube’s arrival? Why did it shatter and distribute fragments for people to find? Who or what sent this mysterious object, and why grant humanity access to such strange and powerful technology? And most importantly, what would happen next, now that the cube had turned so many lives upside down?
The main theme would be exploration, growth, learning the nature of the gauntlet that was given by the cube, ways to evolve it or perhaps remove it, the possible conflict between users, and so much more, including internal politics.
Friendship theme will be included. Romance is a possibility. Drama also will be featured in some extent.
By the way, I don't know much about the daily lives of New Yorkers, both in the NYC and in the whole state itself, so bear with my ignorance and kindly guide me so I can make it immersive enough.
Also, I'm going to update this work rather inconsistently since my schedule right now is a bit tight until the end of 2024
