Synopsis
Henry had a job, a place to live, and friends to hang out with. Yet he found grown-up life exceedingly boring. He yearned for the kind of adventure that books and video games portray.
He gets more than he wished when a mysterious message popped up in his vision about an incoming alien invasion. Henry doesn’t know how to fight monsters, but he knows this is the moment he’s been waiting for.
With only video game experience, he optimizes his way through a merit-based system apocalypse. He is eventually joined by Carol, a college athlete writing her honor’s thesis, and Buck, an army reservist answering the call. But will their team make enough of a difference against the Horde?
What to expect:

- Adult characters dealing with past and current issues.
- Realistic dark and traumatic moments but not a grimdark tone or setting.
- Progression in terms of better gear/augmentation of the soft sci-fi nature.
- No levels, experience points, or OP MC.
