Synopsis
At age 597, most people have perished. Jigril Margrave on the other hand, has been placed on trial as the greatest criminal of the era—a Heretic.
Crimes that spanned across multiple centuries. He betrayed those who considered him family and ended their lives without concern for reasons that none could know.
Catching him was only half of it. Now, they had to unravel his life itself from the very beginning. Warding off attacks from those trying to capture Jigril for themselves whilst watching the recollection of his life, the Empire had to understand more about the existences known as Heretics.
Only, the more they looked, the deeper they fell. What was known as the truth became muddled under the influence of his existence.
A terrifying truth slowly descended upon them.

A/N: I always felt a little strange about how sometimes a mc does not so great actions but is still presented as a good person who was justified. I wanted to write a story where there's ambiguity. Where both sides are presented, and it's the choice of the reader to decide whether or not the mc is guilty. In a way, the readers are the judge of this trial.
