The Fragmented, horrifyingly twisted creatures, bearing crystals that shine a brilliant amber. Those who were once human now warped into mindless beasts having been consumed by their desires. However, the most dangerous among them are those possessed of terrifyingly beautiful patterns marked upon their flesh, The Fractals. Those wicked beasts took everything from them, leaving Alek and Alena orphaned from the tragedy that befell their home village. Having escaped, all they wished for was to live in peace, for they were the only family they had left. An oath to keep each other safe, to protect one another, a promise Alena would keep even should it cost her life. Yet when tragedy befalls the siblings, Alek takes the stand to protect what little family he has left, no matter the cost, even if it meant giving up his humanity.
