Progression story of a lost lad, Quentin, running an odd inn that only opens at dusk to dawn. As time passes, he meets hopeful clerics and jaded sages, battle-worn war monks, and careful thieves trying to find a bit of respite against a dark and corrupted kingdom. The main action happens elsewhere and almost always outside Hepfin's Cardle.
