Synopsis
At fifteen, Carmen watches her home become ash & smoke. Packed off to the Welsh countryside, unwanted and lost, Carmen turns tricks to survive.
Three years pass, and Carmen, now eighteen, roams the rugged Welsh mountains, a solitary figure searching for purpose. Amidst her solitary journey, she stumbles upon a chain-link fence, and on the other side stands an enemy soldier—an embodiment of everything she should despise. Instinct tells her to nurture the flames of hatred, to dismiss him outright. Yet, a different emotion stirs within her—a potent mix of curiosity and a burning desire to uncover the truth hidden beneath the layers of propaganda.
In an unexpected twist of fate, Carmen defies convention and initiates a conversation with her supposed adversary. Through their conversations, she embarks on a treacherous journey of self-discovery, testing the boundaries of her own convictions. As secrets unravel and hidden agendas come to light, Carmen finds herself entangled in a web of intrigue, where the lines between friend and foe blur unexpectedly.
