Follow the perspective of 16-year-old Mikal Astra as he travels alongside his companions Jason Ignister and Ozran Mabin. Their adventures will take them throughout the Ashen Kingdom, exploring the region of the Halandian continent known as "The Heartlands."  Throughout their adventures, both the naive Mikal and the prodigious Jason will be tested in ways they never expected, as swords clash, fires rage, stars fall, and ashes stir!This is the first of three stories in the "Designation 17" universe to be made!
