Following the demise of our protagonist, this story begins with a re-awakening.  Denied the memories of his past life and the comforts of a familiar form, he must spread his wings to discover the new truth of this foreign world.  - - - This story will feature an avian protagonist in a diet litrpg setting.  I cannot deny the influence the genre has had on me, and as they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. However traditional and core elements of the genre such as a level system will be absent from this story (For this reason this story is not tagged Litrpg).  It is by no means a slight, on the contrary, it's a guilty pleasure of mine after-all.  Instead I want to explore a setting where outcome based on stats, levels, and skills are less obvious at the first sign of conflict.  This is my first work of literature and my greatest hope is to leave a lasting impression with my readers.  Albeit a minor spoiler, in no way will the protagonist regain a human form, as I have always found stories featuring a monstrous cast to be far more interesting.  Lastly, I think we have all experienced at one point or another the sudden departure of your favorite tale due to hiatus.  Do onto others as you wish done to yourself.  A lesson my old man has imprinted on me.  It would be one of my greatest regrets to join the ranks of the many discontinued works.  So in this I promise to deliver a meaningful ending, one way or another.- - -Cover artwork is an AI image generated by Dall-E
