Blue lets out a long sigh as he prepares himself for another weekly meeting. He checks his surroundings as he waits for everyone to join the call and finally, after a few seconds, the call starts.
Everyone is silently looking at their screens, looking at him.
"Alright uhhh… Kanto's Gym Leaders weekly meeting, League something something, does anyone have anything to say before we start?"
Silence. And of course the sound of Blaine drinking coffee in the loudest way possible.
"Okay I will start recording… Now" He taps a button on his computer and a green light pops up on the app. "Alright… So, what is the news."
Erika speaks first. "The storm of Team Rocket's warehouse between Celadon and Saffron started about half an hour ago and was a success."
"Aren't we supposed to stop talking about Team Rocket in these meetings?"Asks Brock while he pets his Rhydon that just appeared on screen. “Didn’t the International Police take the lead on the investigation?”
“It’s because we possibly found some clues on the people who might be behind all of the Rocket’s cells.” She calmly replies.
This gets everyone’s attention. It’s been a while since some relevant news about Team Rocket was discovered, for the past few months the International Police had been storming and blowing several Team Rocket’s bases around Kanto and Johto like no tomorrow and they still manage to appear out of thin air on the other side of the region for no apparent reason.
"A few moments before the assault a strange man approached the warehouse…" A photo appears on the screen.
Blaine, who almost spit out his coffee upon seeing the image, asks. "What the hell is he wearing? Look, I know suits are fashion and all but geez this man could easily replace me on my gym quiz show and no one would complain.”
"Sabrina, can you feel something?" Asks Blue. That would be their best shot to find this guy.
She closed her eyes for a few seconds, with the whole call being completely silent waiting for her to do her psychic shenanigans. Until she slowly opened her eyes and said."... Nothing… No prophecy, no vision… Just a blurry image on one of the many possible futures…"
The call gets fussy, with Blue barely being able to hear what everyone was saying until Erika stepped in again.
"Cough, Cough…" The call went silent again. "Well… This was the good news… Now the thing is that we might have a huge problem in our hands right now."
"Let me guess, he escaped with something valuable?" Asked Misty.
"Exactly… To be more precise, he escaped with a prototype from Silph co." She says as everyone kind of raises an eyebrow at her in their own ways. Then suddenly she takes a deep breath and says. "And before anyone can ask, I didn't know about that, and I will take the position of temporary representative of Silph co. to state that the call made personally by Mr. Fritz Silph to the commander of the whole operation with orders to proceed with the assault was done due to the potential danger of said prototype to both Kanto and Johto regions."
"... It must be really convenient to have a daughter as a gym leader." Said Blaine. “Also, I feel slightly offended, why didn't the League ask me and my boys to do the job? And why didn't the League say anything about this before?”
"To be honest Blaine? I have no idea." She replied.
"Anyways, is this thing really that dangerous?” Asks Blue.
She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath.“Probably.”
“What do you mean with ‘probably’? Fritz didn’t send you the details yet?” Blaine asks while rapidly typing something on his computer, probably searching something on the League database.
“Well… Apparently, not even the scientists on Silph co. knows what it can do.” She says, making everyone in the meeting immediately stop what they were doing.
Before Erika could explain that or Blaine starts ranting about that, Surge who was silent the whole call was silent the whole meeting raises his hand and says. “I call a vote.” And the meeting goes silent again for a few seconds before Blue realizes that he was waiting for his input. Blue does a simple nod and he proceeds. “We, on behalf of the League, should seize all of the research and demand full cooperation of Silph co. scientists to analyze the project itself.”
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
“WHAT?! Look Surge, this whole project was commissioned by the League! They probably already have most of the info on the project.” Erika angrily replies, Blue has never seen her so tense before, probably because she wasn’t into her plant pokemon p-...
“Exactly, most of the info. I normally don’t care about the weird stuff the Elite Four and the Champion do, I know my place and my job on the League system, but how do you expect us to get that thing back without even knowing what it is.”
“He has my vote.” Blaine says while raising his hand. “Although I think this is a bit extreme, I agree with Surge. To be honest, I’m just curious to see the project itself, I can’t even imagine how someone managed to fuck up this bad.”
And the whole meeting starts to pretty much scream at each other for a few minutes until Blue finally decides to step in by hitting his desk, making the whole meeting silently look at him. “Alright, let’s calm down and start the vote already. Does anyone want to make a statement before the vote?” The whole meeting is silent. Sometimes, Blue really liked being considered the Gyms Leader. “Alright… Everyone that supports the seizing of Silph co. research, raise your hand.”
Blaine, Surge, Janine, Misty and Brock raise their hands in silence.
Blue lets out a long sigh and says. “Looks like Fritz is going to have a huge surprise in the next few days… Unless the Elite Four decides to stop our bullshit.”
“To be honest, the moment we send the record of this meeting they’ll stop us right on our tracks, but I have hopes.” Blaine says while giggling a bit.
Then a phone rings. It was a small jingle for messages but pretty much everyone in the meeting heard it.
Erika picked her phone up and looked at it for a few seconds. “Erika, you know that leaking the info of meetings is extremely illegal right?” Said Blaine.
“I didn’t leak anything and… Well… Looks like my father was faster, he just said that he will cooperate with the League and give the info about the prototype… He just didn’t say how much he would give.”
And the meeting goes silent again. “Anything else?” Blue asks Erika, while leaning a little bit on his chair.
She does a little nod and the meeting goes silent again.
Blue picks up some papers on his desk and says. “Alright then, let’s proceed with the meeting.”
Misty, who was about to say something, is interrupted by Brock quickly saying. “Pewter needs more Rangers.”
“More?! Didn’t you request the Rangers help last goddamn week?!” Misty screams at Brock. “What the hell is even happening there?”
“For some reason people are interested in the old hiking trails of the Silver mountain range, some sick fucks are literally entering a graveyard filled with extremely dangerous pokemon for fun!” Then a picture appears on screen, it was taken through a fence and was very far from the mountain's foot, but on the other side, a blurry gray line,. “You see that shit right there? Yeah, it's a goddamn Steelix. Because of those fuckers some Pokemon are going down the mountain range so we need Rangers to stop people from going there and others on guard in case one of those decides to visit Pewter or any city in the region.”
Before Misty or Brock can say anything Blue just says. “Granted, I guess no one in this meeting would vote against the possibility of a Pokemon from Mt. Silver walking around highly populated areas right? Anyways, next!”

Lukas was tired. He never ran so much in his entire life and every single part of his body was screaming in pain.
He lays into a random tree and takes a deep breath. After leaving the warehouse, he kept running for a while before slowing his pace to recover a bit of energy before running again.
Lukas stares at the darkening skies while trying to organize his thoughts and analyze his situation. … Dammit… I have no food, no water, I am completely lost, nowhere to go and it's getting dark. Although it was already bad, he thought that it definitely could get worse when the faint memories of those weird and genuinely terrifying Pokedex entries decided to pop up in his mind.
These thoughts gave him the strength to get back up again using his cane and look for a better place to go through the night.
Until he finally remembered the goddamn suitcase.
And then the pain hit him when he eased his grip on the suitcase. He was probably holding the suitcase like his life was depending on it through the whole run, which might be the case.
He stretched his fingers for a few seconds to ease the pain and finally opened the suitcase. The pokeball was still inside, and inside of the pokeball, his savior.
He grasped the pokeball and took a close look at it and felt it in his hand. But as he was about to click the button to release the Pokemon, he realized something. Maybe the Pokemon inside might not be very happy with the whole kidnapping thing from Team Rocket…
The possibility of whatever Pokemon inside attacking him was high. The whole Pokemon franchise was about bonding with them, even thugs had some level of affection towards their Pokemon… Probably. But still, it just wasn't a great idea to release it.
Maybe he could explain his situation to them, they can clearly understand human speech, but it is also likely that they won't believe in him.
Lukas thought about this for some time, but finally decided to bet his life on releasing it.
He prepared to explain to the Pokemon his situation and pointed the pokeball forward.
But he definitely wasn't expecting what came out of the pokeball.
After the red flash from the pokeball was gone, a round blue and pink creature stood in front of him. Its head was detached from its body and on top of it, some sort of antenna.
The grunts stole a goddamn Porygon-Z.
