Synopsis
Anna’s new adventure was supposed to be about excitement and fresh starts. She imagined exploring charming streets, meeting new people, and finding her place in the vibrant new town. Instead, she’s thrust into a web of mystery and danger that makes her question everything she thought she knew about her new home.
As she begins to settle into her new surroundings, strange occurrences start to unfold. At first, it’s small things—a shadow in the night, an inkling that something just isn't right — but as it gets closer and closer to her 18th birthday, these incidents escalate. People around her begin to vanish without a trace, only to return days later in a strange, comatose state, shrouded in an otherworldly fog that no one can explain. And that no one seems to see but her.
Anna’s neighbors are a puzzle of their own. On the one hand there's the enigmatic and aloof guy next door, whose every action seems tinged with secrecy. His behavior is erratic—one moment he's friendly, the next, his casting wary glances as if she’s on the verge of uncovering something he's desperate to hide.
On the other hand, there’s the more approachable but equally cryptic brother of the guy next door. He seems genuinely concerned for her safety but offers cryptic advice and warnings that only add to her confusion. It’s clear he knows more than he's letting on, but whether his intentions are to protect her or to protect his brother is unclear.
As Anna delves deeper, she uncovers a pattern linking the disappearances to a dark, hidden side of the town. She discovers that the fog enveloping the comatose victims isn’t just a bizarre symptom but a sign of something far more sinister—a force or entity that preys on the town’s secrets and its people.
Caught between her curiosity and fear, Anna must navigate this web of intrigue with only partial truths and increasingly confusing lies to guide her. As she pieces together the mystery, she faces a chilling realization: She is the reason for it all.
Anna’s journey is a race against time, a quest for truth, and a test of trust. Will she unravel the mystery before her heart is torn in two?
