Synopsis
In the world of Albion, a former crusader and knight by the name of Lee Verysdale finds himself indebted to a curtal friar, James Gisbourne, after his son, Kenji, defeats a knight and a squire in a fair joust that leads to their family facing financial ruin due to the knight his son had slain in combat that was a member of the royal family and husband of Lady Eliza Elvira Bethory.
Lee, desperate to pay off his debts, soon finds himself walking a fine path of heroism with the band of Merry Men and vigilantism with the Curt Cut’s Clan that steal from the rich only to give to the poor before the knight discovers that everything they’re doing is weakening the reign of King Richard of House Lionheart’s war efforts in the crusade. When the knight turns to faith for his answers, he is forgiven by none other than Lady Eliza Elvira Bethory herself.
After the wellbeing of his family is threatened, Lee returns to walk the path of righteousness only to be met by death at nearly every corner after the death of his friend, Robin Hood, for which he takes up a holy crusade to avenge him. When the knight does avenge his friend, he puts an end to a tragic tale that eventually comes to the end with the death of the corrupt King John of House Lionheart by the hands of none other than Maid Marian, the lover of Robin Hood.
In the end, Maid Marian dies by the Cupid Arrow piercing her heart after King Richard’s glorious return home. After Richard departs for his crusade once more, however, is when two lovers are reunited in death and a new threat rests its head on the throne of Rottingham…
