They definitely didn't expect him to escape. *** What to expect: A first-person, unreliable narrator. I've played fast and loose with the laws of physics. This is a space opera, not hard sci-fi. Adult themes, but no sex scenes (unless I lose complete control of the characters), lots of snow, airships, and planet-based action (in part one). If you use the word 'woke' unironically, this story is probably not for you. Updates will happen when they happen but I hope to put out at least one chapter a week.
