They could fight monsters, but could avoid drowning in the red tape? When the government announces it would be awarding grants to clear out the monster-infested cities dotting the land, Seren and Petros see an opportunity.  Petros could build one of the mechs he had designed, and Seren could pilot it into battle.  It was a dream come true. Or is it?  Reality crashes down upon their ears as lofty goals of mayhem and glory collide with middle management and efficiency reports.  With a timeline set by bureaucrats and half the required budget, can the duo make a functional machine, let alone save the city? And while they’re at it, not dying would be nice too.
