Goto Tenzen was a young girl during the Reign of the Tairan Emperor. The Grand Kingdom of Arzawa had been ruled by the lineage of Taira since its founding, but while the great cities of the Kingdom were fabulous in their design, advanced in their technology, and rich in their art, the other settlements outside of that barrier were rife with banditry, lawlessness, and poverty. While the rich corporate aristocrats perused art and enjoyed the perks of their inherited royalty, children starved in the dark alleys of the poorer districts. Wealthy Landlords gouged their tithes from the already struggling populace, subjugating any resistance with steel and smoke.
