"Watch out! Arnold." cried Kai.

"Yeah, Ok. But, I cannot control it, Kai. It's so hard, It would be easier if I were on my desktop, I would have taught them a lesson. I just need to do some clicking and tapping in my PC." complained Arnold.

"Stop complaining and stay focused, here they come," shouted Kai.

This place was known as Horde Woods. It was a small zone consisting of an area of 80 meters. It was different from other places in Glacia Islands. The developers of WarCraft Online, Virtual Reality Gaming Ltd.(V.R.G) is a company of Britain. So, they created the map which looked like the true copy of United Kingdoms.

Kai and Arnold were attacked by monsters when they entered in this part of woods. The monsters, known as <> attacked them. They looked like wild dogs and were 120cm tall. They had a blackish complexion with an elongated tail that was developed into sharp knives like thing.

Kai opened the menu and scrolled down the list of his moves and tapped on one of them.

"<>" cried Kai and a volley of small zaps hit the hound.

Some of them vanished but others stood up and started attacking him again.

"They are only level 28, It's not that hard to handle. Just hold the ground and I will do something," assured Kai.

"Ok, here comes a shield, " said Arnold while scrolling down his attacks list."

Rurrr...

The attack menu showed an error and several codes appeared instead of the attacks name.

"Brother Kai, I hate this game! it sucks," complained Kai.

"It's not a game anymore... It's our new reality... And I guess the only reality." stated Kai.

"Yeah but, this reality thing totally sucks, " grumbled Arnold.

Twelve Hours Ago...

Kai slowly opened his eyes and found himself in the place he has never been to. The sun was shining brightly and one could see many people around the city.

Kai checked upon himself. His avatar was about five feet ten inches tall with a wheatish complexion. His hairs were black in color, short and straight and were made into a way that enhanced his personality. He had worn a leather tunic, a Blue T-Shirt that came all the way down covering his wrists. A small stick was hooked at his left torso. He wore a silver cloak with a few golden strips at the spinal cord. He unhooked the stick and it grew to a six feet tall staff.

"It can't be...Is this Doveria?" whispered Kai as he wailed around the place. "There's the lake of wisdom, it is Doveria and I am inside 'WarCraft Online', my body has also switched to the avatar I used to

play." continued Kai.

"No, Somebody get me out of it, I don't wanna live here, " squealed a guy.

"Hey, you punk. Contact the game master and tell them to get us out." whined another holding the collar of an NPC.

"This place, it looks like others are also trapped in this game. But, how do I get out of this game?" thought Kai.

Suddenly, he crashed onto a stone and fell down. His palms got in contact with the wet grass which rose up from the ground at a height of 2cm. He started to observe the grass by rubbing the grass that stuck in his long fingers.

"These aren't pixels, it feels real, like I am observing a real grass. Ok, wait I get it. Let me just..." whispered Kai as he connected his index and middle fingers and slowly scrolled down in the air.

Ting... Ling... Ling...

A menu appeared before Kai. In the middle, it had a symbol of a long staff with sharpened edges. It stated that Kai was a Sorcerer. In the topmost corner of the panel, there were 6 stars embedded which stated that Kai is a Grand Duke. Along with it, LEVEL 100 was written.

There was a Level Cap or Level limit in WarCraft Online. Till the second update, it was 100 but in the third update, the level cap was increased by 100 and now the level cap was '200'.

The stars showed the rank of a player. The ranks were set by the ancient code of chivalry. The developers planned it that way because the Medieval Era in Europe was also known as 'The Age of Chivalry'. The ranking showed how experienced a player is in the art of battling. It also boosts the Hit Points or Health and Mana Points. Player, at the rank of Baron, could not accept a quest that a player at the rank of Grand Duke could. This feature was added in the second update to make the game more interesting and real. There were six different levels of ranking:

1 Star= Baron/Baroness

2 Stars= Viscount/Viscountess

3 Stars= Earl/Countess

4 Stars= Marquis/Marchioness

5 Stars= Duke/Duchess

6 Stars= Grand Duke/Grand Duchess

Kai scanned through the menu and found the <> button in the bottom of the menu. He tapped on the <> button but a red cross appeared to its right and the words 'LOG OUT' turned grey instead of white.

"So, this means I cannot log out right now." thought Kai.

He again scanned the menu and tapped on <> button. He then clicked on his friend list and scrolled through the list. Different names appeared showing their levels and player rankings. He stopped on a player's name.

"So, Arnold is logged in too. Let's check it if the

<> are working or not. whispered Kai to himself as he tapped on the symbol of a mic that was floating in the right side, beside the name.

Ring... Ring... Ring... Ring...

" Hello, is it you Kai?" came a shrill but cheerful voice.

"Yeah, Arnold. I am happy that you are logged in." chuckled Kai.

"Yup, It's been a year since I played this game. I was so busy, you see..." burst Arnold.

"I know what you were busy with." teased Kai.

"Not again Kai."

"By the way, where are you, right now?" inquired Kai.

"I am in Doveria, strolling through the streets," answered Arnold.

"I am near the lake of wisdom. Let's meet near the old banyan tree," suggested Kai.

"You mean our old meeting place?"

"Yeah, Our old meeting place," confirmed Kai.

Kai stood up and walked towards the lower part of the city. The city of Doveria was divided into two parts:

Upper City

Lower City

The upper city consisted of the Guild Hall, The Bank, The Battle Chateau, The Cathedral, and Guild buildings.

The lower city consisted of the market, the NPC houses, INNs, The Fields and Lake of Wisdom.

After some time, Kai reached his destination, The Old Banyan Tree. He waited for some time, carefully observing his surroundings. Suddenly, He saw a guy coming towards him. He was 6 feet tall and had a wheatish complexion just like Kai. He wore an Iron armor, with Iron Gauntlets, Iron Greaves, and Iron Boots. He looked like some sort of Knight of medieval Europe.

"Hey, Arnold. Long time no see."

"Yeah, It's been a year since we met or chatted. After the new update came I could not control myself and logged in right away."

"So, do you know how to get outta this game. I have a deal with a company tomorrow and it's really very important."

"I tried logging out but it didn't work."

"I see, it means we are trapped in this world."

"Yeah, we are trapped inside 'WarCraft Online'."

"By the way, have you tried dying?"

"Not until now, If a person dies in the game, he or she is reincarnated or revived in the Chamber of Resurrection but after our realities switched their places, I don't know if the reviving thing would work or not."

"Can't we just know it by ourselves."

"Yeah, I am planning to do so. let's go to the <> and try battling some monsters," suggested Kai.

"Yes, it's a good plan. Let's do it. I will also get an opportunity to kick some monsters' butt." agreed Kai.

"What secrets this game had hidden, I will reveal them and find a way to get out of this world. Till then, I will do everything to survive in this world." thought Kai...
