While on the run from the magician’s guild for the use of magic with malicious intent, Idaniell frees a god from where he had been imprisoned for more than a millennium and in return, receives a gift of knowledge from the god. Now Idaniell must begin a new life, in another city.  Although he hopes to just be able to live his life in peace, he realizes that there is little chance of that.  Between the magician’s guild from which is still searching for him, and the threat of war looming ever more present with each passing day, it is only a question of time before his peace is shattered.
