Angelus wants nothing more than to enjoy his laid-back lifestyle on Portsmouth island - the home to any mutants unwilling to live amongst the humans of Gleodem that once subjugated them. Just when he thought having his girlfriend Nyx move in or not was the biggest decision he had to face,  a near-death experience causes a latent ability to manifest - the power to control life itself.  To avoid drawing the attention and ire of Ivy - the only mutant to wield this power and current absolute ruler of the mutant-sector - Angelus decides to keep his new abilities hidden.
