Academician Teng of the Tesk Academy sat in his cell and concluded that his difficult job had got a lot harder.  When  in jail it's very hard to bring the imminent end of the world to the attention of the local head of state. Let alone gain royal support for his proposed project to do something to maybe delay it.  And as for the annoying extra conditions the academy's administration imposed on him.... did they want the world to descend into chaos or something?  He'd tried to explain things to the jailer, but that hadn't gone well either. Maybe his sister would hear a rumour he was here?Across the city from Teng's cell, Prince Hal (not a pirate, that's just a rumour) recognised the sound of a chair breaking over someone's head. Hal was impressed, it actually knocked the jailer out. Why there was a jailer at the barn had been confusing Hal for a while. This romantic fiction concerns the challenges that the (little green) people on Planet 5 face:  war-mongers, geo-political tensions, societal and technological issues, obstinacy and pride. There are even some semi-important characters who don't fall in love.Expect to find:  love, bits of humour, atmospheric ionisation, life, horrible decisions, death, religion, racism, slavery, etc. and also camels who kick people.I know, I know, this is RR, but I don't do LitRPG, sorry. So far this fiction is one book, (42 chapters, 230k words). Another is envisaged, vaguely. It can be read alone, but probably makes more sense if you've read at least my G+P series 2 and 3.
