The story takes place in a world where america was turned on by the world. america attempted to fight back with their current weapons and military but the combined forces of their former allies and enemies was simply too overwhelming. Before america faced eradication, a scientist and previous war veteran known as Adam showed his research to the president. His research involved turning soldiers into superhumans, granting them their own abilities. The president took interest in this project, attempting to create a school meant for this purpose, Gaiden. 'Adam' allowed his wife 'Eve' to take over this academy, but Adam embezzled a portion of the funds to create a secondary project, far less human, The Garden. As time went on, The Garden became known as a mercenary organization as they killed whoever was commissioned, while Gaiden used more humane methods of simply capturing the enemy.
