This is the novel version of a short story that I wrote earlier. The shorter one version can be found on my main page if you are interested.  The story is about an orphan boy that gets adopted by the king since his father saved the king's life. Gandon and Ilmur grow up together and become best friends but will their friendship endure? One theme the story has is power. Who should rule?
