Ardwin had stood at the precipice of greatness.  The height made it all the easier to fall.  When an unknown enemy scares the living shit out of him and sends him into the shadow realm, Ardwin has plenty of time to think about his actions and decide who he wants to be. To aid him is a kind, compassionate young boy who can somehow see him. In return, Ardwin acts as a mentor towards his young charge and guides him through the unforgiving, nasty world that the boy is about to enter.
