20 years ago the Goddess of Darkness Diana attacked the capital of the Fire Empire in the middle of the night. Her army of demons destroyed the outer walls instantly and Diana’s demons poured into the city. King Marcus Ember quickly led a retreat weighing the lives of his people greater than the city itself. After the loss of his capital city, Marcus gathered the armies of the other  4 empires to fight back against Diana’s demon army. For 4 long years they fought against the demons barely holding them back. The losses of lives in the 5 empires was measured in the tens of thousands and they were fading fast. King Marcus knew they would need to end the war soon. In one last push to take back the fire capital King Marcus and his wife Queen Julia meet the Goddess Diana on the battlefield. After taking many blows of their own, Marcus landed the killing blow on Diana. In her dying breaths she promised to get her revenge and ripped out Marcus’s heart as she faded into darkness laughing. After the goddess vanished, so did many of her demons. The five empires began to rebuild and there has been 16 years of peace since that fatal battle. Recently there has been an increase in the number of demons within the Fire Empire. The Queen has tasked her daughter Dawn Ember to see if this is only within the Fire Empire. First sending Dawn to go to the Water Empire, capital to talk to their king.
