Earth is guilty of genocide through mana deprivation. No one alive knew of this, they found out when the Greater Mileu Council reintroduced mana to Earth and gave the sentence: At their coming of age, some would be chosen by Lottery to participate in the game.  Earth was told they would be removed from being punished, the lottery rescinded, but not when or how. And in the meantime, their children were selected and sent into the Game where they fought, they changed and were never the same. Mosh was an ordinary farm boy, with dreams of being an academic and working to advance knowledge. Instead, he finds himself in the Game, fighting for his life, fighting for his existence, fighting to not become a monster. And in the Shadows on Earth, the rebellion grows. Hidden even from them, those responsible for the long-ago genocide stir, looking to enact new plans to restore the purity of Earth, to purge mana in its entirety.
